What does freight brokerage actually mean?
I take your enquiry, find the right truck among carriers with a valid licence, negotiate the price and issue the transport order. You get one person to talk to, one price and one invoice, instead of calling ten firms and comparing quotes.
How fast do I get the quote?
On the usual routes I come back with a price the same working day, often within hours. For oversized, ADR or project cargo I need longer, because I check the permits and the route before giving you a price I can hold.
Can the quoted price change?
No. The price confirmed in the transport order is final for the agreed conditions. Additional costs only arise if the parameters change — weight, addresses, waiting beyond the free time agreed — and only with your written agreement beforehand.
Who is liable if the cargo is damaged?
Transport runs under CMR, and the carrier is liable within the limits of the CMR Convention. I check each carrier's CMR policy before allocation and give you its details. If the cargo is high value, I recommend additional cargo insurance and we arrange it before loading.
Which documents do I get after delivery?
The transport order on confirmation, the signed CMR scanned as soon as the carrier sends it, the original by courier on request, plus the invoice carrying your order references.
Do you handle small, occasional volumes?
Yes. In groupage I take from a single pallet and impose no monthly minimum. For recurring shipments on the same route we can fix a contract price.
