Automotive transport — components delivered inside your window

In automotive, a delay does not cost you transport, it costs you a stopped line. So I start from your delivery window and build the shipment around it: the truck allocated in advance, the driver briefed on the receiving schedule, and confirmation at every stage.

Shipment type
Dedicated FTL or groupage on recurring routes
Delivery window
A fixed slot, agreed at order
Truck allocation
24–48h, faster on recurring routes

Trucks

Which truck I use for automotive transport

Standard curtainsider trailer

13.6 m, 24 t, 33 euro pallets. Side or rear loading, for racks and metal containers.

Mega / jumbo

For bulky but light sub-assemblies: body panels, plastics, trim.

Dry van

For parts sensitive to dust and damp, or for urban deliveries.

Truck with a tail lift

When there is no dock or free forklift at goods-in.

Cargo

What cargo usually travels this way

  • Components and sub-assemblies for the production line
  • Spare parts to distributors and workshops
  • Returnable packaging: metal racks, KLT boxes, containers
  • Palletised tyres and wheels
  • Trim materials and interior components
  • Engines and gearboxes, properly secured
Fit

When to choose this option

  • 01 You have a fixed receiving window and cannot afford to miss the slot.
  • 02 You ship regularly on the same route and want a contract price.
  • 03 The goods travel in returnable packaging you have to bring back.
  • 04 You need confirmation at every stage, not only on delivery.
Documents

Which documents you need

The papers below are the ones I ask for or check myself before loading. If you are missing one, tell me at the start and we will sort it out.

  1. 1

    CMR consignment note

The basic transport document. I fill it in; you only sign at loading.

  2. 2

    Commercial invoice

Travels with the goods and must match what is actually in the truck.

  3. 3

    Packing list

Number of packages, weights and dimensions. It makes checking at goods-in quick.

  4. 4

Delivery sheet with the receiving window

Order number, gate and receiving slot. Without them the truck waits at the gate for nothing.

FAQ

What people ask me about automotive transport

Can you hold a fixed time at goods-in?

Yes, if you give me the window with the order. I write it into the transport order and the driver has it before departure. If traffic or a border puts the time at risk, you hear it from me, not from the gate.

Do you bring returnable packaging back?

Yes, return runs for racks and containers can be scheduled along with the delivery. They are planned from the start, because they change the calculation.

Do you handle small volumes too?

Yes, in groupage, from a single pallet. For line-side supply I still recommend a dedicated truck, because it does not depend on other shipments being consolidated.

Tell me the route. I will send you a firm price.

It takes under a minute to fill in, or you can just call me. I check availability with carriers and come back with a firm quote, with no hidden costs at unloading.
